My special guest in this episode is Ewa Bocian, a facilitator of organizational systemic change towards adaptability and authenticity, and also a Holacracy coach. At the individual level, she also guides people through ‘Live Your Truth’ individual processes. For me this talk brought into the forefront the importance of constant self-development and personal growth which, in turn, will inevitably support the organizational development. Hope you will like the episode too!
“When I facilitate the process of shifting from a traditional hierarchy to self-management, then what I actually do, in a very fundamental way, is that I bring myself to each encounter with the client as authentically as I can. And I think that this is the most important element that we as coaches and facilitators need to be aware of; that we set the example with our own behavior of those qualities that we believe will be supportive of self-management. When I recently asked feedback from one of my clients, I got the message that it’s really hard to be in the same room with me without being willing to be more truthful. And, I have to say, I really loved this feedback because I could see from workshop to workshop, from session to session, meeting to meeting that they are gradually allowing themselves to be more open, more truthful and also in tune with their feelings. The more we bring vulnerability to our work as coaches, the more we are also creating the space for others to do the same.” – Ewa Bocian
